My Ghosts Go Ghost is a haunting and ambitious debut from By Storm, the new project of RiTchie with a T and Parker Corey following their time in the influential experimental hip‑hop group Injury Reserve. Released on January 30, 2026, the album marks a striking evolution in their sound, blending glitchy electronics, abstract jazz influences, and raw rap lyricism into something both intimate and otherworldly.

From the opening tracks like “Can I Have You For Myself” and “Dead Weight,” the duo set a contemplative tone: guitars loop in melancholic patterns while fractured drums and textural noise surround RiTchie’s introspective lines. Production by Corey feels alive and unpredictable, at times sparse and fragile, at others dense and overwhelming, demanding full attention rather than passive listening.

RiTchie explores themes of grief, responsibility, and personal transformation with piercing honesty. On “In My Town,” he navigates financial pressures and the emotional weight of fatherhood; on “Can I Have You For Myself,” relational vulnerability sits against uneasy soundscapes. Guest verses like Billy Woods on “Best Interest” add depth and poetic density to the album’s narrative arc.

The album’s standout moments come from its ability to merge dissonance with catharsis. Tracks such as “Double Trio 2” erupt in chaotic intensity, while closer “And I Dance” offers a sense of fragile hope amid distortion, echoing a journey from grief toward acceptance.

User reactions reflect divisive but passionate engagement: many praise its layered production and emotional vulnerability, while others find its abstract structure challenging compared to more conventional hip‑hop.
